Why are the announcers saying Walter ray hasn't missed the pocket? are they calling the pocket the front right of the head pin instead of the area between the 1 and 3? I haven't seen him hit the pocket and every ball he keeps looking amazed that it wasn't a strike. He deserved 2 splits not one. Is it just me or does anyone see the same thing? Jamie

Randy does that a lot. Really don't know what he is thinking. To a new or average bowler they will walk around thinking "I am leaving the 4 pin in the pocket and getting a bad break". Those of us that know better will laugh when we hear them. Come on Randy stop this now. Maybe bring back Marshal , he seemed to try to educate people about bowling not dumb us down. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is no greater waste as a waste of time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tnpnr@com+cast.net remove the +

Or how about auditioning for the role YOURSELF? make sure you present all your "qualifications" on why You're So Much Better than Randy and How You Can Do The Job Better to the appropriate ESPN personnel. If you're lucky you MIGHT just get the gig for next year!

Thing is we all know Randy knows the game better than to say "Walter Ray hasn't missed the pocket". I think they dumb it down considerably for television... which IMHO is the exact opposite way to go... they should be showing exactly how complicated and complex and taxing the sport is - especially at that level... its like, every week they tell you which pattern is been played, and he seems to ALWAYS say the same thing... this week we played pattern (insert name or letter) which was (insert difficulty raiting) and so you could tackle this from various parts of the lane, so you have (insert name of one player on the show) playing it from deep while other players like (name another bowler on the show) playing straighter... Jamie, did you know you're supposed to put "spoiler" in the subject line of any posts referring to tournaments that people haven't watched yet? Then you don't spoil the enjoyment of viewing the action for people who are going to watch it later. I am taping the show right now and don't expect to watch the tape until tonight.....if I have time. I prefer to not know WRW III is not bowling well until I see it. While it's not the end of the world, it is an etiquette in ASB that you may not have been aware of.
