It is no fun getting your ass kicked by ultra crankers throwing the
best of the latest "cheater ball" technology. Forget that even, take a
sprayer with horrible technique who can get the ball anywheres near
the headpin and give him one of the new super duper morich balls and
he can beat the crap out of you. So I'm cashing in my chips because I
need all of them to afford a $130 cheater ball. I give in, technology
is king on a THS, I have seen it, I have been a victim numerous times
of it. I am basically giving my money away in these handicap leagues
to guys that are sometimes inferior bowlers but who have the latest
equipment and a few beers in them and just blow away the pins as long
as they get it near the headpin.
Ok I know that someone is gonna say that better technique always wins
out and that I'm a whiner and I should just get some lessons but hey,
I average a solid 205 in all 4 of my leagues, which, granted isn't
that great these days but I should not be getting my ass kicked the
way I have been lately. The only reason is that I get tapped and/or
don't carry the shit hits like the guys with the cheater balls. I have
been using symmetric cores and low friction balls like the Ebonite V2
Dry which is fine but it can't beat a cheater ball with the mega
asymmetric core designed by genius Mo P. . So this is it, even though
I hate the thought of owning a ball with such a name as "weapon of
blah blah" or "blah blah destroy this and that" I am now a converted
techno whore who will buy the latest cheater ball just because
everyone else has one. I should be donating to charity or something
but instead I am lining the pockets of people that promote destructive
bowling technology, and where is our sport headed?
