Seems to me that some folks have odd wiring, to make that much effort
for so little benefit.
To make a bowling related comment, while sitting in a hospital ER
room, I got to see the TV 300 of CK Moore back in 1996 (iirc).
Curiously enough, he was using an Omega/R, a ball I have at home
myself, but hadn't used much of late. I decided seeing this was a
sign from the bowling gods, and added my Omega/R to the bag for
league.
Wouldn't you know, it works just fine. :)
(then again, I'm in MN, we're not known as a heavy oil area)

I think a lot of bowlers could benefit from older, less aggressive
equipment. My newest ball is a Track Stomp, from 2000. (wow, I had to look
that up and it's older than I thought) I tossed a 300 with it earlier in
the season, and if you throw out a few weeks when I drank too much beer, I'm
probably averaging 215 or better with that ball, along with an El Nino Gold
as my deep inside ball. The Stomp needs a refinish, I'm at an old house that
tends to chew up balls.

It's everywhere, too. One of the groups I used to read regularly has been
destroyed by this crap over the last couple months.
