Got my second 300 tonight. 195-300-192 or something that last game, I forget. I lost my concentration entirely after the second game, maybe it was the beer. This one was fun, I didn't have any nerves once I got on the approach in the 10th. And in my mind it sorta proves the first one wasn't just a fluke. Or, that even blind squirrels get lucky a lot. :-) -John O -wondering if this group will survive

Hey, way to go John! I haven't thrown one since December 1997. Have 3 sanctioned 300s and 2 unsanctioned from a Brunswick employee league. July 15 this summer threw a sanctioned 299. Buried all 3 in the tenth but left a solid 7 on the last ball. looking for that validation myself after not bowling from 2001-2004. Had my right tibia bone break in 5 places at the top just below the knee. had surgery to put 6 screws and a plate in there. Haven't been the same since but can average 190-210 depending where I bowl. You've acquired a major bowling "key" here: being RELAXED and ENJOYING YOURSELF! that translated into the "chain reaction" of good frames, etc. Now, it's up to you to maintain possession of that "key" from now on, right? :) Take care and good luck next week...

I got my 2nd one on August 6 and your are so right about the validation. For me, knowing the I am a squirrel that can see has given me way more confidence and my game has gone up a level. And I fell like it is going to stay there. Since then I have gotten deep into a couple of more games and I have gotten six or seven 700 series' including four weeks in a row in my Wednesday league. A once a week 700 series is way more often that about 20 or so since got my first one 3 years ago. Also, in my Thursday 640 scratch trio league I bowled anchor for the first time ever and really had no fear bowling one of the top two or three bowlers in the house who averages 20-25 pins more than me. He shot over 800 and won all the points but did ok with a 669 and I hung with him to the end of game one and past the halfway mark of the other two games. It made me feel like if I go against one of the top ten guys I can get at least a point or two. We'll see how it goes. Anyway, my whole point of this was to give you encouragement because you should be proud and for me it has moved me way more than the first one a year and half ago. I hope it does the same for you. Good luck! Pat P
