Been a while since I've been able to brag about bowling with all the trouble I've been having with arthritis in my shoulder. Well, the payoff for moving to a 15-pound ball came tonight. Threw a 267 (with 9 strikes in a row after a spare in the first frame), 197, 238/702, only my second ever 700-series. Used my 16-pound Storm Tour Power for the first game but my shoulder was shot by the 10th frame, that's why no 290 game, the ball stared crossing over. So I started the 2nd game with the 15-pound Roto-Grip Saturn but was having problems stringing strikes. The 197 was a clean game though, something I haven't had many of this year. Had my first open in the 5th frame of the 3rd game, missed a 6-10 spare of all things. I wasn't paying attention to how my fingers were in the ball and it sort of just fell off my hand when I got to the line and went in the ditch. Then I struck thru the 9th and needed the first strike in the 10th to have a chance at the 700 set. I buried the shot and it was 10 pins straight back. I just made sure the first shot in the 11th was somewhere close to the head pin. Ended up with 21 strikes and 9 spares for the night and only 2 opens. It has been over 4 1/2 years since my last 700 series, sure hope the next one is not that elusive. -- Marty ------------- "I'd Rather Hunt With Dick Cheney than Ride With Ted Kennedy"

Hope the shoulder doesn't give you too much grief. Dan
