I just had this put in 4 balls and for the first time I have the exact same feeling in all the balls. Anyone else have these?

I've been using them for 5 years a have 5 ball with them installed. None have ever broken. The glue on one did separate, I just had it reglued. I did have one ball that they couldn't be installed in, a Columbia Messenger BSP Titanium Pearl, the dense Ceramic titanium core can't be drilled & the sleeve goes deeper than a normal thumb hole. I have 4 different sizes & don't have to worry about trying to pull 1 piece of tape & winding up with 2 or 3 pieces & the trying to put several back. So far I have 3 different sizes. Still playing with 2 to get the proper fit when my thumb swells. Just an addition to what's already been entered: I know a lad who has these installed in his gear. He actually ** LOST AN INSERT ** in the pit when its' securing ears suddenly broke (the locking sleeve stayed in the ball). Other than that, he swears by them. Just a suggestion: get ** THREE ** of the inserts drilled for you as follows. * One insert for your "normal-sized" thumb * One insert for when your thumb EXPANDS * One insert for when your thumb SHRINKS Happy bowling, etc. :)

Yup. I need a 3rd after last night. My thumb usually shrinks while bowling. Last night it expanded a little. Not quite enough for the big slug, but too tight for the "normal" slug. No, tell us about them. How do they work? How long have you been using them? What do they cost?....etc. Dar "Jimmy G" <offsethammerman@yahoo.com > wrote in message news:G-ydnaXZU6D0z7ranZ2dnUVZ_rmjnZ2d@giganews.com... >I just had this put in 4 balls and for the first time I have the exact same >feeling in all the balls. I'm going to take all four balls tonight and see what happens. "Darby" <tenpinhawkeye@mchsi.com > wrote in message news:MMIVi.178341$Fc.130992@attbi_s21... > No, tell us about them. How do they work? It consists of 2 pieces. The thumb slug and the sleeve section that goes in the ball. The thumb slug has locking tabs on the bottom that engage the sleeve and lock in place. I have 2 slugs. One is slightly smaller than the other so when my thumb swells I pop the small one out and go with the larger one. The great thing is the feel from ball to ball doesn't change. The cost for the slug was $18.00. The sleeve was $12.00. I've got $48 in sleeves (4 balls so far) and $36 for the thumbs.
