Subject: Practicing/training with a Polyester ball before a lesson
|
After recently taking up the sport again I've been concentrating on m approach and picking up spares. At the time, I only have a polyeste ball (Brunswick Target Zone) that I bought about 6 years ago. When do bowl for a score, I've been in the 175 to 205 range. I have chance to take a lesson soon from a PBA pro and would like som advice Do I continue to use a hook release with this ball even though it end up being more of a down & in? I had been starting out with laying it down at the 10th board and the moving my starting point and my target left to get the ball higher i the pocket but have realized that I need to go to the right instead Do I use a wrist brace while I am "training" and trying t get my mechanics ironed out (my initial scores seem to be higher wit it) or should I go ahead and discard it now if I plan on bowlin without it eventually anyway Should I go ahead and order or buy a reactive ball before my lesson o wait on suggestions from the pro about which ball to get? This lesson will be a one time deal for now - I may have anothe chance in a month or two, or I may be able to forward video to him. Any other suggestions would be appreciated
