I just learned about this website from ballreviews.com.
I am astounded, and immensely pleased.

Very cool, Dar!

I now know that the number of 300 games I was told Lonnie Sharkey had
was slightly exaggerated. He has 42 300 games and 24 800 series.

Thanks Tony, it is a great website. I just passed on the site Jeff Tricarico
had sent to me. You may remember him being a regular here a few years ago.

Did you know, if you bowled 800 or 300 you are also listed in their records:

A co-worker of mine has 19 300 games extending back to 1994! And he's a
lefty, too. Do they limit the number of rings, watches, etc., that one
can earn for multiple 300s?

You are limited to one "honor" award for each catagory each season. Should
you bowl more than one in a given season you can buy an additional ring,
watch, etc as applies to the honor award. That happened to me in the
2004-2004 season. I got one 300 in 03 and a second in 04. So, I got a watch
for the first and purchased a watch for the second and bought a ring for
bowling two 300's.

I'm giving all the awards to my children and grand kids. I have several 100
over awards too.

I think you are limited to one USBC (formerly ABC) award per season for
each award (300, 800, 299, 298 (ring, watch or plaque), 11 in a row
(plaque), 700 patch, etc. the list goes on and on and there are also
awards for Seniors and the local associations also give awards, mugs for
high games, patches for 30 clean frames, money clips, etc.).

In addition, if you join a Sport Condition League you can also win one
of each award under the Sport League Awards for the season. For
example, you can get a 300 ring for sanctioned league or tournament play
and another one if you happened to bowl a 300 in a Sport League. If you
are a member of the PBA I think they will also give you a 300 ring in
their competition.

That is correct... and I have a nice "recognition" certificate for my
third 300 game which came 10 weeks after my second 300 game in the 98-99
bowling season to prove it!
