Subject: Men's League Ideas...
|
Hi everybody, I know with all the experience that read this NG, somebody has to have some good ideas. Basic delima: League is on a military installation, but in a large military populated area. Well grounded league but lost a lot of participation when we went scratch about 4 years ago. League Make up: Last three years has been a trio with only 8 teams (6 the first year). Three games scratch modified. Scratch head-to-head individual but team games are handicapped 80% of the difference in average. You didn't have to set your line-up by average, just that the left lane always did line-up first. We have an advantage of only paying $1.75 a line for fees and can put everything else into the prize fund/sec/tres fee. Currently pay $12 a week for 30 weeks. Split season with wins/losses starting over after the first half. Idea: I'd like to find a way to make it more competetive for even the 160-180 average bowlers that have joined, without scaring away the 200+ averages that we have. 24 bowlers and we had a league average of about 185 with 8 200+. ME?: I'm the Secratary/Treasurer and best friends with the President. We believe in this league as a competitive AND fun league. Any ideas you could give would be greatly appreciated.
