Just another sign the bowling leagues are dying out. I am the sec/treas of
a friday night men's league. I've spent plenty of time and resources
advertising the openings for said league sine the end of last season. Going
in I knew it would be a challenge since we have been losing teams left &
right since I was first elected:
2002-2003: 10 teams
2003-2004: Started with 9, 1 dropped out after the 1st week
2004-2005: 8
Now: 5 if I'm lucky, maybe 6.
Our league meeting is next week, and I fear the worst. If we are going in
with only 5 teams, then I am certain the league will fold before it even
starts. I shall wait and see.
