Congrats to Mike Scroggins on his Sunday win.

I was saddened to see WRW literally "deflate" after blowing the first-
frame spare. Usually, he's able to bounce back, but for some reason
he couldn't on the Sunday final. Maybe he'll "find joy" in his next
tournament?

It almost seems scripted, ya know? The way Oatman had 3 opens, then a
hambone and *almost* came back, then lost it at the end. I mean, if
you wanted to write entertaining matches, you couldn't do better than
what we've seen!

As Randy Pedersen noted, "I can't remember the last time WRW missed a
single-pin spare." Me neither. He'll be back.

What's going on with the TV finals this season? This is the *third* final
that was decided by a great bowler anomalously missing an easy spare on TV.
In the past, if something like that happened it was a really amazing event
[Wasn't there one title where PDW won when Jimmie Pritts got five-and-out
in the 10th? Another where Dell Ballard wiffed a 10-pin?] Three in
something like five or six tournaments now?? And it can't be the
conditions getting more difficult, because Randy seems to imply that their
performance during the week is pretty much on track [didn't Randy say that
when Chris missed his spare that was the first one he'd missed all week?
It was probably the first one WRW missed all season :o)]. Strange. Makes
for interesting TV viewing though [even if it must be REALLY painful back
in the paddock].
