Subject: Finding a knowledgeable/helpful pro-shop

Can anyone give me some helpful pointers in finding a solid pro shop that is knowledgeable & willing to assist in finding the right set-up that matches up well with my style of play? The in house guy is there maybe 4 days a week from 5-7pm & those are apparently just suggestions, as there have been plenty of times he didn't bother to show up. Anywho, he *appears* to be knowledgeable, but I haven't used him since he displays no interest in explaining/suggesting/helping customers. And then there is the guy who I have used. He's a lil more helpful, but then I wonder just how helpful. I ordered a new ball, I asked him to watch me throw a few, and before drilling I tried to go over the suggested layouts from the flyer included with the ball (Storm - Pyro). He didn't appear to go into much depth, merely replying with a "Sure, we can do this which will do X & X, and will help you out a lil" which sounded good. He ended up drilling it with the pin, finger holes, CG, thumb almost in a perpendicular line. It's not the best quality, but here's a pic: http://img204.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ballbm8.jpg Obviously, no one here has seen me bowl, but can this be an acceptable drilling? Never seen it suggested before. I don't want some crazy layout just to have a crazy layout. But I would like to understand what's being done & why, and if, by chance, I would benefit some a different layout, I'd like to have find someone knowledgeable that's willing to work with me in finding that right layout. What should I be asking? While I kind of understand PAP, axis, etc, I'm not up to par on how these translate on the lanes. I see them mentioned often, even with the including drilling instructions with balls, but have yet to have one of the guys I have been around even talk about such things. Any & all help is appreciated.
