Subject: "Entry level" reactive balls

Hi
Why are balls like the Hit, Tornado and Groove classed as entry level
reactive balls? Is one supposed to start fingertip with one of these? If so,
why?
If one is changing form conventional to fingertip why not start with, say, a
Vertigo or a Big Time?
Just curious.
