Question regarding resposibilities of the League President
This is my first time at being League President. I had a situation
after our last league night.
When we arived for bowling the Youth Travel league was there just
finishing up, they were running a little behind and finished just
minutes before our warmup time started. But our league started on time.
After our league finished a bowler came to me wanting me to file a
complaint because the House didnšt redress the lanes for our league
after the Travel league got done.
Also that the house should infrom us the week before that the Travel
League will be there the next week and we will start later and also
redress the lanes etc.
(According to the house they dressed the lanes before the Travel league
started. That way our league started on time and also so that the
league following ours started on time. This seemed resonable. Also Išve
bowled here for years on this league this has not been a real problem
Also there was a complaint that the conditions on one pair of lanes at
one end of the house, wasnt exactly the same as on another pair of
lanes at the other end of the house.
How should I handle this type situation?
I felt that since we dont have some written contract with the House
regarding dressing the lanes before our league etc. and this isnt some
big continuing problem. I dont need to file some complaint with the
house about it. As long as everything is meeting USBC Guidelines.
The Travel league is only there once a month and most times they get
done a little earlier and the
