Subject: Bowling shoes advice, please?
|
I've had a pair of brand-new Dexters with no removable soles for about a year. I just started using them and after about four or five sessions with them, they're still sticking more than I like, even after powdering the back part of the sole a couple of times. Tonight, after the sticking cost me an easy mark early in the first game, I put them back in my locker and got out my old shoes (ended up with a 618, so it was a good move). At any rate, I'm wondering if I should stop using them and get a new pair, be more patient with them or go back to my old ones (these are about 20 years old, still fit fine). The Dexters are very comfortable, more so than the old ones (which have none of the interior padding of the Dexters). But the Dexters also have no removable soles, so they're low end shoes. Do the removables make that much of a difference? FYI, I'm averaging about 175 in both leagues, though I've been bowling better than that lately. Thanks for any advice.
