Subject: Ball Roll Problem...
|
I'm looking for some advise...I have been bowling 25 years and have almost always used fingertip grip with inserts. I hook the ball about 9-11 revs with medium to slow speed. I recently got a couple new AZO (By LaneMasters) balls. They are drilled by matching my previous 'go to' ball. The Drastic, which has a 1/8" less reverse pitch than the Fantasy X, rolls real nice with the track going from about 1/4" from the fingers and 1/2" from the thumb. MY PROBLEM...the Fantasy X rolls right over the middle finger AND flares right on it...where the flare crosses, is right on my middle finger insert. It's the only ball that I have that does it and it doesn't matter if I change my hand position. My back swing involves a couple 'twists' of my hand before I release and I have a pretty high back swing. Can anybody give me an idea of what may be causing this or how I can get it to move off the fingers. Thanks, John
