Just curious....do ball return accidents happen often? Tonight my son (he's 5) ended up getting his hand caught in one. He was bowling with some of my family while I was in league....next thing I know I hear him screaming like a wildcat and see everyone running in his direction. There the poor kid is wailing with his hand completely engulfed by the machine, I nearly fainted, wondering what his arm would look like and if it would still be there. It took maybe 20 seconds for them to shut the machine off while his hand was still stuck in there, they got his arm out and it was intact with no lacerations but he had a DEEP groove pressed into his arm where it was stuck between the wheel and the metal...looks pretty swollen right now but it doesn't appear to be broken. I've been bowling my whole life and never witnessed anything like this before. Curious if anyone out here has seen such an accident before and what the outcome was....the guy running the desk at my alley said he'd seen a few kids with their hands stuck in his lifetime.
