At least they're doing something with them which is more then I can say
about the ball manufacturers. They haven't made any new tech changes in
over ten years now unless you consider particle pro-active balls that
much of a change over reactive resin which I don't. A new high tech
change in bowling balls is way over-do! All the balls today do is hook a
lot and that's all -- big deal. I'd like to see for a change a ball that
revs a lot instead! I think a ball that revs a lot would hold the line
better and have better pin action on today's tougher lane conditions.
The reactive resin and particle balls that hook a lot just don't cut it
anymore on today's lane conditions. They're harder to hold the line with
them and generally roll out unless you're bowling on a wall. Come ball
manufacturers Wake Up already it's way over do for another major ball
change for the new century! Don't you want to sell lots of balls and
make lots of money again! Why do you think so many bowling centers are
closing? Nobody is having fun only averaging 150 in their league. They
want to average in the 190's plus! So get with it before all the centers
eventaully close down and bowling just becomes a footnote in the history
books!

Actually, I know a LOT of people who are having fun averaging 150 in league.
These are people who simply look at bowling night as their night out of the
house. They've been bowling for the past 20+ years, and haven't gotten any
better...

Bowling does not need to market to them. Bowling needs to market to people who
have never bowled.
