Subject: Advice on Keeping Ball Straight
|
Hi. Been bowling for a couple of years now and joined the fun league for the first time. My average is stuck at about 130. Part of the reason for this is that sometimes I can't make the easy spares (1 or 2 pins together). My plastic spare ball is a Columbia 300 White Dot which is drilled for finger tip. I spread my pinky and index finger wide apart and try to keep my wrist firm. I throw it with my wrist facing the pins. Is this the correct way? If I throw it, sometimes it'll go to the right and I totally miss the pin(s). Is there some special trick to rolling the ball straight and having it go where you want it to? Doesn't seem like a difficult thing to do, but I struggle with it some weeks. Thnx.
